One of the big problems with managing assets is keeping asset records up-to-date.  And if the asset records are not accurate, they are not only worthless but can cost you money and lost time.  The proper management of assets allows you to know the location and condition of your assets, maximizing productivity and return on investment.   That’s why it’s more important than ever to have an asset management app.

So, why don’t you have an asset management app?

If you have a standalone asset management tool installed on a single computer, you usually have a couple of options while working away from your workstation.

  1. You can manually record changes and try to remember to update them when you get back to your desk.  Not only is this time consuming, but asset records are easily forgotten or delayed with manual updates.
  2. Another approach is to carry around expensive, proprietary mobile devices to scan and update asset data and then sync it with the software when you return.  I have even heard of people carrying around a bulky, laptop with a barcode scanner to update the asset data from the field.

It seems like there just has to be a better way to keep asset records up-to-date!

Smart Asset Tracking With an Asset Management App!

asset management appHere at Novo, our primary goal is to help simplify the way people do work. This common problem birthed the idea for our Novo ShareNet Asset Management app.  We thought it would be cool if you could just take out your Smart Phone, scan an asset barcode with your phone’s camera to look up the asset record and then make any changes to it while you are right by the asset, all from a device you already have in hand.

The Novo ShareNet Asset Management App works in conjunction with our ShareNet Asset Management Software.  And our mobile app is helping our customers simplify how they manage assets on the go.  Since the asset management app and the full web application access the same data, asset records are updated in real time and can be immediately viewed on reports and dashboards from anybody, anywhere.

Serving both Apple and Android users, the ShareNet Asset Management app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (a Novo ShareNet subscription plan is required).
