Recently we learned of a customer of ours who made new use of their Novo Help Desk in their hospital setting. To meet regulations they need to track employee illness to see if an outbreak has occurred. They were doing this manually when they realized they needed a better system. The IT department was approached to see if they could come up with a solution – but the perfect solution was already in place in the Novo Help Desk they use to track IT requests. All that was needed was to set up some new categories to track the desired information and to create a template which prompts users which questions to ask. In about 20 minutes the new tracking software solution was up and ready.
